Apricots

November 15, 2017

The sentiment from packers remains, that farmers feel there is enough demand for

whole apricots at current levels to keep prices firm. This is coupled with the fact that

apricots are returning to levels more in line with historical averages. Exports to end of

October finished at approximately 9% above same time last year; at 30,000mt. This is an

increase on what we have seen in the first two months of the new season. Those who

hold stocks think that prices should rise in sympathy of the weakening TRL to match

USD prices.
