Hulled sesame seed is the whole, cleaned, dried germ of the seed Sesamum Indicum L. which has had the seed coat removed through a process known as decortication.

This is an all-natural product, containing no additives or preservatives and may therefore be subject to seasonal colour and flavour variations.

Varieties/Types/Grades

Sesame is available in both Hulled and Natural (unhulled) varieties, other derivatives of the product can also be supplied such as Tahini (sesame paste) and Sesame Oil (roasted and extra virgin).

Countries of Origin and Seasonalities

Sesame is grown in a multitude of countries around the globe, primary grades of hulled seed are available in Central, and South America (Nov harvest), China, India (September harvest) and Africa.
